Beer lovers rejoice as new brewery opens its doors

HEMINGWAY’S Brewery flung open its doors this week much to the delight of beer lovers in Port Douglas.

The town’s first brewery opened on Monday and has been enjoying a steady stream of curious visitors keen to try its craft beer and food options.

The brewery hosted a staff training session with guests on Friday night before announcing on its Facebook page it was open to the public.

Construction on the multi-million dollar pub started back in August 2015 with the two-level venue covering a massive 850 square metres.The outdoor seating options on the marina boardwalk and the upstairs decking area are sure to be popular, with the brewery planning to hold a grand opening over the next month.
