THREE budding Douglas Shire basketball stars will represent the Cairns region at the state championships in Mackay tomorrow.

Douglas Heat’s own Toby Hull, and Tyson and Regan Crees were chosen after impressing for Douglas Shire at the Peninsula trials in Cairns.

They helped the combined Douglas team win all their matches at the trials, earning the attention of the representative selectors in the process.

If the boys impress at the state championships in Mackay, to be held on June 2, they could be in line for selection to compete at the national championships.
