Texter jailed for 3 years

Let this be harsh reminder of the realities of texting whilst driving.
A chilling story has just unfolded in Western Australian courtroom with a Judge sentencing a 42 year old mother of two to 3 years in prison after colliding with a 70 year old cyclist. The cyclist died four days later in hospital.
The woman as could be expected weeped during the sentencing with the Judge finding that the evidence given by a following motorist regarding her use of her mobile whilst driving played more reliable than her explanation of her inattention being due to a rose garden on the median strip.
Something for everyone to think about!
