DETECTIVES charged a 30-year-old Mossman man on Saturday following investigations into the alleged assault of a 48-year-old man at a Bow Street residence on November 28.

It will be alleged that he punched the victim, who was known to him, as they left a gathering at the residence at around 11.30pm on that date.

The victim was rendered unconscious as a result of the incident and sustained bruising and soreness.

Police attended an Alchera Drive address at around 8.30am on Saturday and the man was taken into custody.

He was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm and is scheduled to appear in the Mossman Magistrates Court on December 21.
