THE Bodies in Motion dance school’s gala performance Hooray for Hollywood has sold out both performances at the Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas.

A capacity crowd of 600 will pack into The Glades venue at the Sheraton for tonight’s opening show, while tomorrow’s event has also sold out.

“It’s really exciting for the kids to be performing to such unprecedented numbers,” said Bodies in Motion Principal Saskia Turner.

“We had our full dance and dress rehearsal yesterday and everything went really well.

“To have both shows officially sold out is very exciting and is a great achievement. Everyone can’t wait.”

Those in attendance this weekend will take a stroll down Hollywood Boulevard and be transported to ‘old time Hollywood’ featuring some of the screens most iconic figures.

The annual production costs more than $80,000 and will feature more than 500 costumes and state-of-the-art lighting and sound.

Tonight’s show kicks off at 6.30pm.
