Trivia night to raise funds for Port Douglas State School’s swim program

THE Port Douglas State School is holding a trivia fundraiser at the Central Hotel tonight to raise funds for their Learn to Swim and other childrens programs.

The popular KStar, aka Kevin Elderidge, will be running the evening which has been boosted by a $500 sponsorship from the Central.

"The Port Douglas State School P&C tries very hard to be as proactive as we can with raising money for our little school community and I do feel it's imperative our local businesses achieve the most amount of recognition for their support in our quest", event organiser Annie Crowson said.

"We would love to see a full house tonight which would be a big bonus for us."

Raffle prizes, auctions and side games will up for grabs which will be poured into the school’s Parents and Citizens designated fund, which will be subsidising the Learn to Swim course.

The new $5 raffle prizes are as follows:

• Quicksilver Voucher for 2 on Wavedancer

• Hogsbreath Cafe voucher valued at $100

• 2x Turkish Towels donated by With Sugar valued at $89

• NQ Carpet Cleaning Services Voucher valued at $100

Trivia starts from 6.30pm tonight with entry just $10.
