A woman has been repeatedly raped by a stranger who broke into her Mossman home on Sunday morning, it is alleged.
The woman was sleeping at around 5.30am on Sunday morning when a 20-year old Mossman man, not known to the woman, is alleged to have raped her multiple times, Queensland Police have confirmed.
The man appeared in Cairns Magistrates Court yesterday charged with six counts of rape, one count each of attempted rape and deprivation of liberty and two counts of enter premises with intent.
“It will be alleged at about 5.30am the man has entered the woman’s house in the town of Mossman,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
“The woman was sleeping and the man has raped the woman a number of times. The man is not known to the woman."
