PORT DOUGLAS Magazine announces largest issue at luxury launch
Published Monday 22 August 2016
ISSUE 20 of the PORT DOUGLAS Magazine was launched in style on Friday night at the opulent Dune beachfront holiday villa.
Leaders from across the tourism sector gathered to celebrate what the industry is describing as the most comprehensive edition yet.
The magazine features business visionary John Morris and Great Barrier Reef guardians John Rumney and Dr Dean Miller amongst a bumper 108-pages. Morris is considered by many as the founding father of Port Douglas and gives his perspective on what the future might hold for the town, while Rumney and Miller talk about their Legacy project, which hopes to redefine the way research, education, communication and conservation of the reef is approached.
“We are always humbled by the enormous contribution of our clients showcasing the quality of product and services available in our region,” said Editor in Chief Sarah Cullen.
“We believe this is the definition of a great partnership and will continue to ensure PORT DOUGLAS Magazine represents the aspirational, charmed lifestyle available for all to enjoy, either on holiday or longer term as a resident.”
PORT DOUGLAS Magazine Creative Director Sam Cullen paid tribute to the magazine’s contributors on Friday night in front of around 80 guests at the plush Dune villa.
“This is our biggest ever issue and we want to thank all of our writers, photographers, sub-editors, accounts and proof-readers to name just a few,” he said.
“They are essential to ensure the high quality this magazine delivers as we continue to tell the Port Douglas story through great editorial, spectacular imagery and a range of fantastic products and services.
“We’d also like the thank the business community for their continued support.”
