A MAN has been charged after a suspected stabbing incident in Mossman last night.

It is believed a a 29-year-old man was airlifted from Mossman to Cairns Base Hospital for treatment on suspected stab wounds to the abdomen at around 9.30pm last night.

Police have arrested a 28-year-old Mossman man in relation to the incident. 

He has been charged with once count of grievous bodily harm and will appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court.
