Endless summer celebrated in latest PORT DOUGLAS Magazine

Published Thursday 28 April 2016

THE latest edition of PORT DOUGLAS magazine has hit the streets and celebrates everything we love about this time of year… the beach.

As the southern states scramble for their winter clothes, Port Douglas begins reaching for the sunscreen and the magazine embraces this by teaming with Australian beach lifestyle giant Seafolly.

The global brand recently opened a retail store on Macrossan Street and launched their latest A/W collection Sunset Diaries, so beach fashion is a key theme throughout PORT DOUGLAS magazine.

“Port Douglas is being hand picked as a destination that represents the heart and soul of Australian swimwear,” said Sarah Cullen, PORT DOUGLAS magazine Editor In Chief.

“We were excited to work with Seafolly and access an exclusive cover shot for our quintessential beach edition.

"We’re also excited to help celebrate the return of their campaigns on our shores by offering this edition of the magazine at selected Seafolly concept stores within Australia.”

PORT DOUGLAS magazine includes a feature piece on environmental visionary Mike Berwick, a man who has helped preserve and protect the stunning landscapes the region enjoys today.

With the magazine’s print circulation already at 20,000, its digital counterpart has enjoyed a surge with the last edition read by just under 15,000 online users.

The edition introduces readers to some of the most dynamic Port Douglas ladies in a ‘Women of Douglas’ special, while attention also turns to the Port Douglas Carnivale and the arrival of the amazing Wonderland Spiegeltent from Melbourne.

“Carnivale is a local must do and an annual tourist pilgrimage on the Port Douglas events calendar,” Cullen said.

“With over 30 events, an abundance of fresh produce, family fun, amazing artists and international performers it’s easy to see why.”

Readers are invited to share their dining experiences for a chance to win the PORT DOUGLAS magazines Good Food Dining competition and #shareportdouglas. For more information contact magazine@newsport.com.au.
