Mossman Golf results for the week

Before we mention the golf results for the week, Members are reminded that the AGM will be held at the club, 9.30am on Sunday 20th September 2015.  

Members are also invited to come along and support the Mossman Junior Open on Sunday 13th September.

Mossman Golf Club’s Bluewater Marina Monthly Medal was won by Mark Geddes with nett 68 on a count-back to Alec Ford, and in 3rd place Charles McSween 69.
NTP’s – John “JC” Carney, Lloyd Redpath, Peter Hornsby, Rick Herschell and Dave Nesbitt.

JUNIORS -  The Club is hosting free Junior clinics each Tuesday 5pm – 6pm for youngsters 
aged 6 – 17 years. Details from Geoff Goodwin on 0418 456 901.

On Wednesday  the Juniors 9 hole competition was won by Couper Smith nett 28 ahead of Alex Kearns 35.
NTP – Kale Warden.  Nick Scomazzon had the least putts.
The Modified Division was won by Natasha May 35 ahead of Jack Roberts. Jack also had the least putts.

Wednesday’s nine hole stableford event was won by Graeme Scott with 17 points. Graeme also won the NTP.

On Thursday, Mossman hosted 71 players in the FNQDLGA Interclub event.
Division 1 winner Annette Seawright 38 points, r/up Joan McLean 37.
Division 2 winner Shona Barbour 39 points, r/up Karen Henry.
Division 3 winner  Vicki Briggs 42, r/up Rosemary Barker 40.
NTP’s – Adie Crispin, Marilyn Barnes, Rosemary Barker and Karen Henry.Straightest drive – Lorae Ladru.

Friday’s nine hole Mossman Butchering Steak Bash was won by BrendonWood with 21 points on a count-back to Lynton Heffer.
NTP – Bill McCarthy.

Saturday’s Demi View Motel Monthly Medal was won by Alec Ford with nett 69, r/up Charlie Kadic 70.
Gross winners - A Grade Charlie Kadic 78, B Grade Dave Nesbitt 84, C Grade Bruce Cheesman 93.
Nett winners – B Grade Errol Glynn 72 c/b, C Grade Russell Watkins 71.
NTP’s – Matty Smith  on 6 & 13, Geoff Goodwin, Bill Allison and Dave Nesbitt.

The Ladies Monthly Medal sponsored by Glenda Christensen, was won by Glenda Christensen with nett 70 ahead of Judy McCormack 73 and Heather Atkins 75. Glenda also won the putting competition on a count-back to Kim Edwards.
