Lee-ann Pitcher has been awarded the coveted Master Builders Regional Women in Building award as well as awards for the Best Display home over $401,000 and Best Bathroom for her Signature Display Villa at Niramaya, on behalf of RECS Signature Constructions.

Ms Pitcher has had a professional involvement in the building industry since 1996 with degrees in architecture and built environment winning numerous prestigious building awards over the years. Utilising her understanding of designing for a tropical environment her skills as a project manager, builder and senior building designer have again been recognised.

“I am honoured to receive this award.  It is justification for all the hard work over the past four years.  Building is not a male dominated industry anymore and there are quite a few women in the industry.  I personally have never had any problems and have always got on well with my trades people, and have earnt respect,” said Ms Pitcher.

One of the major projects currently being worked on is the Signature Villas which is a major project with one display villa completed and 22 more to be built.

“The feedback I’ve received about the Signature Display Villa is the level of detail and the high quality workmanship,” commented Ms Pitcher.

Considering the environmental elements Ms Pitcher said “Every project I do there is a duty of care to incorporate sustainable aspects. I am also currently working on a house on top of a mountain just outside of Port Douglas which is challenging as there is no mains power, water or sewerage so it needs to be completely sustainable.”

We congratulate Lee-ann in her accomplishments.
