Malcolm Turnbull and Deputy leader Julie Bishop have both challenge Tony Abbott requesting a ballot for the party leadership.

Julie Bishop met him before question time and confirmed “I met with the Prime Minister and advised him I would be challenging him for the leadership.”

Malcolm Turnbull met him after question time and confirmed. “I met with the Prime Minister and advised him I would be challenging him for the leadership.

“If we continue with Mr Abbot as Prime Minister it is clear what will happen.”  

“We have lost 30 news polls in a row, it is clear that the people have made up their mind,” said Turnbull.
