DNA Seniors 2015 season comes to an end

The Douglas Netball Association played Grand Finals last Tuesday at Port Courts. 

Division 3 played the Tiddas against the Stingers in a hard fought contest, the Stingerswon convincingly final score 32-16 with player of the match named Vicki Cantle. 

Division 2  played Young Guns 2 against Young Guns 3, Young Guns 2 missing one of their main shooters won the first Quarter, but Guns 3 had other ideas winning the next quarter by a couple of goals, the Younger team (Guns 2) kept the momentum up and their training paid off taking the win 42-28 with player of the match a well deserved Kyah Francis.    

Division 1 played season rivals Cougars against Young Guns 1, The Guns started strongly with a4 goal lead at quarter time, the Cougars stepped up in the next quarter shooting 12-7, the Gunshad to counter in the 3rd quarter and did so strongly shooting 14-6 which gave them a good leadInto the last quarter.  The Guns who have trained well all year in a well deserved win 37-29.

Thanks to the Committee for their work over the year in making the 2015 season a great success.
It is Farewell to Danielle Bellero a long time player for the Cougars and our extremely efficient treasurer for the last 4 years, already a Life Member we thank you for your contribution to Douglas Netball over the many years you have been a member and player.  (you can always reconsider!!) 

Special Thanks also to Cassandra Hill, Marley, Ella & Jay Cairns in a family effort running a very successful canteen for 2015. 

Thanks to the committee:  Sharon Beechey, Kath Baxter, Alex Heidke, Jodi Francis, Danielle Bellero, Nichelle Pitt, Liz Ryan & Kristen Cambieras we hope to see you all back in 2016!
