Next Sunday 1st November is the Tropical Journeys Great Barrier Reef Marathon Festival here in Port Douglas which will result in various road closures throughout the day.

While the organisers endeavour to make as little disruption to roads and business as possible, there are a few closures in place on the morning of the race, and the two days leading up to the marathon.

The organisers wish to clarify there are no road closures on Port Douglas Road or Captain Cook Highway.

For all Holiday Homes, please note runners will be coming through Solander Boulevard from 7am – 12pm (this area is not closed) and each home will receive a notice in the letterbox advising them to please be aware of runners at all times.
