Five North Qld Surf Life Saving Clubs converge on Four Mile

Last weekend five branches of the NQSLS competed for the upcoming North Australian Championships as the clubs battled it out in the true spirit of the surf life saving tradition.

Surf life saving epitomises the lifestyle, values and beliefs of the Australian Culture and the North Qld branches Port Douglas SLSC, Ellis Beach SLSC, Cairns SLSC, Etty Bay SLSC and Mission Beach SLSC reflected this proud tradition throughout the event.

North Queensland Branch is the most northern branch of Surf Life Saving Queensland which was established in 1950 and the final parade held on Sunday afternoon demonstrated this history. 

The favourite of the day was the all age relay and the athleticism amongst all competitors from all groups was remarkable.
