The QT Tropical ‘Taches Movember Team have been busy raising funds said PR & Events Coordinator Sharon Timms.

“The entire QT Hotels & Resorts family is supporting the Movember cause, with each property putting forward a Movember Ambassador. Representing QT Port Douglas this year is our fearless leader, Rupert Sakora, who is quite the Movember veteran with his stellar chops.

“You may or may not have noticed the pervading wafting of maniliness around the resort over the last month or at least the presence of much lip hair on our Mo’Bros.
“We’ve raised approximately $500 out of the pledged $2000, but there’s still time to support.

“Thank you to everyone who participated, joined the team, talked about the team, donated cash or time into this fantastic charity,” said Ms Timms.

This Sunday marks the end of Movember and QT Port Douglas plan to close it with a bang.

“On Sunday from 2:00pm, we’re holding an End of Movember Party, and you’re all invited.  After the extreme week of events, this is a welcome release for everyone.

“We kick off with a BBQ and Mo’Jito specials.  Josh the Barber pop up barber store will be there, with all proceeds going towards the Movember Foundation.  There will be a live auction of prices from Refuge Clothing, spaQ, QT Fitness Centre and Lyquid Nightlife.  The Man of Movember awards will be presented at 3:00pm and live entertainment by Eddie Skiba band from 3:30pm.

"Tell your friends, tell your mothers, lovers, Mo’Bros and Mo’Sistas. I hope to see you there,” said Ms Timms.

Movember 2015 is the thirteenth year the Australian-born fundraising endeavour has graced the faces of men, and The Movember Foundation is now the leading global organisation committed to changing the face of men’s health.
