Man wearing fluoro shorts arrested after attacking vehicles in Port Douglas

A Cairns man has been arrested after allegedly damaging a bus and and a car on Port Douglas Road on Sunday morning.
At about 7.45am the man, wearing only a pair of fluorescent shorts, threw a bottle at the side of a bus, leaving a sizable dint, then proceeded to attack a nearby car using a length of wood.
Police arrested the man after locating him using information sourced from the public and he has been charged with wilful damage and public nuisance.
He is due to appear on the 25th of February in Mossman Magistrates Court.
