Police are searching for the driver of a car that abandoned a car after crashing it on Nautilus Street in Port Douglas in the early hours of Sunday morning. 

The crash occurred at about 3:45am, resulting in the blue sedan becoming embedded in the underbrush off the side of Nautilus Street. 

The driver failed to remain at the scene of the accident but Port Douglas Police have identified them after speaking to residents and are now actively searching for them.
