TPDD hosts tourism industry get-together at QT

Tourism Port Douglas and Daintree has hosted a small get-together at QT Port Douglas to help new members in the region mingle with established players.

Plans had originally been made for a lawn bowls day in Mossman but unexpected pull-outs saw the event moved to QT.

Represented were United Backpackers, Port Douglas Queenslanders, Dragonfly Weddings, Flames of the Forest, Beach Shack, Port Douglas Event Management, Tourism Port Douglas and Daintree themselves and QT Port Douglas.

TPDD executive officer Tara Bennett said the get-together had been plenty of fun and provided a good opportunity for networking.

“It was a good to see everyone getting together and getting that information about other operators in the area,” Ms Bennett said.
