With estimated attendees at 2,500 Sunday proved to be a great opener for the 2 day Mossman Show. With something for the whole family everyone is sure to have fun.

Sideshow alley was bursting at the seams with rides, games and show bags galore. Some rides offered great value by purchasing a one off all day ticket or multiple tickets at a reduced price.

Other free events are Melville’s Pioneer Farm filled with an adorable selection of young farm animals.  The kids can have fun feeding and patting the babies.

David Williams Snake and Radical Reptiles show commentary was informative and his snake handling demonstration skills were educating.

Noah's Farm Pig Racing had everyone cheering for the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners.

The Wood Chopping Event is worth viewing, you could work up a sweat just by watching and an inspiration for all ages.

The hit of the day was Guy McLean the Australian Horsemen, otherwise known as The Horse Whisperer.  His horse handling skills and love of horses was evident to the audience.

Also the Victor Crees Pavilion is bursting with displays of art works, photography and craft, agriculture, needlework and culinary works for all to see, displaying their judged place getting for each section.

Today at 2pm is the Anything Goes Competition  In its 6th year of participation, the event is outrageous because the challenges are not known by the entrants until the start of the event so it is unpredictable and there is no time to prepare, the entrants have no idea what to expect. The total prize money up for grabs is $4,000 and the teams elect to donate their winnings to their chosen charity or not for profit organisation.

There were two incidences in Sunday’s show jumping events and Beryl Kerswell the score keeper reported that “a young man broke his collar bone and is thankfully okay and a young girl also broke her collar bone and was kept in hospital overnight and is thankfully okay as well.”

There is still time to head off to the Mossman Show today closing at 8pm.  There will be a performance by the Mossman High School Concert Band at 7:00pm and then fireworks to close the 2015 64th Mossman Show this evening at 8pm.
