After what could have been a potentially fatal collision today on the corner of Port Douglas Road and Beryl street, it is a reminder to all those on the roads this holiday season to drive safely.

As the Qld road toll for 2015 is currently 124 (106 the same time in 2014) emergency services are reminding all drivers to slow down and to avoid any stupidity on the roads.

Fortunately no one was injured this time, the driver was a little shaken and declined to be interviewed.  Police at the scene said is was a "simple rear-ender".

Those drivers on long haul journeys, jump onto the Qld Govt website and Download all the driver reviver GPS locations for your journey and make sure you drive safely and remember to stop every 2 hours - stop revive survie
