An annual event held on Saturday 25th, for its second year, was the Crocs Port Douglas AFL Ladies Day.

Organised by Jess Lea, social co-ordinator, the purpose of such an event is not only to host a lovely day for the ladies, but to also encourage them to be part of the Crocs as avid supporters.

The champagne flowed from 2pm with nibbles and a wonderfully designed cake for the occasion.  There was a lucky door prize of a Peppers Spa voucher as well as 3 more raffles drawn during the event.

Port Douglas is very passionate about their football club and has teams from under 8’s to senior level and has the strongest and active supporter base in the seven-team AFL Cairns competition.

What a wonderful way to increase that active supporter base by hosting this annual event for the ladies.

Another crowd pleaser was the Super 6’s leading the seniors on the field for play.  There was Jorja, Cooper, Kobe, Hunta, Ehtan and Alex.

Results of last weekends game to come.
