Daintree Treasure Hunt is an interactive initiative for tour operators and anyone working in the tourism industry to learn more about the Daintree

"Daintree Marketing Cooperative are a group of 85 tourism operators in the Greater Daintree region who are either owner operators or have an invested interest in various projects marketing the Daintree" says Project Manager for Daintree Marketing Coop Sheena Walshaw.

"We found that there were gaps in people's knowledge of the Daintree and wanted to expand that knowledge in a fun and exciting way. We have had great in-kind support from Douglas Shire Council and Tourism Port Douglas Daintree are sharing the event invitation to a wider tourism network.  Guests do not need to be a member, you just have to be working in the tourism industry" says Sheena.

The networking event is tailored around a Daintree Treasure Hunt. The guests will be interacting with the operators by participating in a variety of simple challenges that are designed to engage the guest in a fun way while familiarising them at the same time. After each challenge (set by the tour operators) guest will move onto the next challenge.  

The Daintree Treasure Hunt is the first of its kind for DMC and, if it is a success, it will be delivered in Cairns as well and becoming an annual event.

A fun evening to meet some of the wonderful and varied tourism operators from the Daintree, with a Treasure Hunt activity to win fabulous Daintree Experience Prize Packages.$200 CASH LUCKY DOOR PRIZE - drawn at 6.10pm.  You must be registered and be there when the prize is drawn to win!
