UPDATED: Missing woman found safe and well

UPDATED: An 18-year-old American woman reported missing last week has been confirmed safe and well after making contact with police on Friday.
Marina Sanchez had been last seen at Bentley Park on January 10 and was reported missing on January 22.
She made contact with police the next day and has been confirmed safe.
Police thank the community and media for their assistance in the matter.

Edmonton police are seeking assistance from the public in order to locate an 18-year-old American woman who has been reported as missing.
18-year-old Marina Sanchez is a U.S. citizen who is presently holidaying in Australia, where she has been staying with a relative at Bentley Park.
Marina left the address on January 10 and has not been seen since. It is believed that she may now be staying elsewhere within the Cairns area.
The missing woman is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 165cm tall and of proportionate build. She has a tanned complexion and short dark brown hair and brown eyes.
Police are encouraging her to attend the nearest police station in order that her welfare and safety can be confirmed.
