After Newsport reported a croc caught up in Ellis Beach swim nets yesterday, the Queensland National Parks reported a croc fight at Catfish Waterhole in Rinyirru (Lakefield) National Park on Cape York Peninsula.

After receiving images from photographer Sandra Bell, Queensland National Parks reported that it occurred not far from a warning sign, which is a reminder to be crosswise in croc country.

The Department Environment and Heritage Protection advise that crocodiles are potentially dangerous.  Their crosswise advice is to never take unnecessary risks in crocodile  habitat, you are responsible for your own safety.

Please follow these guidelines and be crosswise in croc country.
