One of the best ways to enjoy beautiful Far North Queensland is to spend a morning or an afternoon snorkelling with the turtles on the Low Isles - Great Barrier Reef.

Tropical Journeys have now added half day tours to their schedule out to the Low Isles.

Early risers can hop on board one of the Calypso Reef Cruises taking just 30 minutes from Port Douglas Reef Marina, boarding at 7:15am. 

The trip allows you two hours to snorkel in the calm lagoon or stay dry on the glass bottom boat, viewing the reefs variety of corals and marine life. Or simply relax on the beach and take in the peaceful surroundings.

The boat will have you back at the marina by 10.30am, leaving you the rest of the day to enjoy or enough time to get to the airport.

If slow mornings and lie-ins are more your thing, the same experience can be enjoyed in the afternoon, boarding at 2pm and returning at 5.15pm.

Eleanor Jones from Tropical Journeys said the tour is perfect for those who are time limited, but still want to explore the Low Isles on the Great Barrier Reef.
