Dust off your fishnets and practice your Time Warp steps for the QT Hotels and Moonlight Cinema Annual Charity Movie Night.

QT Port Douglas and Moonlight Cinemas have teamed up with the FNQ Hospital Foundation for a screening of cult flick, ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’, with a percentage of ticket sales assisting to support health services and equipment purchase throughout the region.

The Far North Queensland Hospital Foundation is a local charity that has supported the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service since 1997. Funds raised go towards supporting health services across the region, and through community fundraising efforts has achieved more than $8 million worth of equipment purchased since inception, and supported $80,000 worth of research since 2011.

On Sunday September 6th with gates opening at 6pm, cult movie lovers are encouraged to dress up as their favourite Rocky Horror Picture Show character, practice their lines and dance steps for a night of audience participation alongside the longest-running movie in cinema history. Tickets are $18 with $5 from each ticket going towards the FNQ Hospital Foundation’s fundraising efforts, supporting health services and health equipment purchase across the region. For the first 200 movie goers through the gate, the traditional Rocky Horror Picture Show ‘Survival Kit’ – essential for the full interactive experience – will be handed out, as well as prizes for the best dressed.

“We are so very excited to be able to bring this film to Port Douglas, create an outrageously fun event and do it all with charitable purpose” QT Port Douglas PR & Events Co-ordinator, Sharon Timms said. “And who doesn’t love a dress up? This is a perfect time to bust out the boas and unleash your inner Transylvanian.”
