Could you save someones life? Would you like to know how you could help in an emergency?

Join Port Douglas paramedics at their open day on Saturday 5th September, where they will be conducting CPR awareness sessions.

“If you’ve ever thought about doing a first aid course or CPR training, wondered what a paramedic does on a typical day or wanted to explore inside an ambulance station, Ambulance Week is the ideal time,” said Ian Day, Port Douglas Officer-In-Charge.

Ambulance Week runs from September 7-11 and Port Douglas paramedics are inviting the community to join in the celebrations.

Ian Day said, “Ambulance Week gives Queenslanders a chance to discover more about the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS)”.

In conjunction with Ambulance Week, Port Douglas Ambulance Station will also be celebrating 25 years of service to the community.

“Paramedics and volunteers provide help and hope for Queenslanders in their darkest hours all year round,” he said.

“Ambulance Week also gives the community an opportunity to meet the people behind the uniforms that keep their loves ones safe and help them in an emergency.”

To get involved, join the paramedics between 9am-1pm, Saturday September 5th at the Port Douglas Ambulance Station, 1 Port Douglas Road, Port Douglas.
