Port Douglas State School Sports Carnival 2015 was another spectacular day held last Friday on the oval and showcasing the achievements of our future sporting champions.
Every year the students are all encouraged to participate in the annual sports carnival. That is 286 students from all grades participating in a variety of sporting events including the 400m, 200m, 100m, and 80m sprints, relays, long jump, high jump and shot put. This year even the Kindergartens visited the school to do their own special race.
Mums and dads lined the side of the track cheering their children down to the finish line. The parent’s support throughout the day was generous.
Of course the highlight of the day was the Teacher vs Parent vs Student relay race at the end of the day.
