Time is running out to submit photo entries for a chance to win advanced flashing Balista lures. 

The lures contain a LED light that attracts fish, and have been well-received by local fishers that say they have massively upped their catch rates by using the lures.

Newsport is running a fishing photo competition, with a swag of Balista LED lures up for grabs as prizes. 

Send in your pics of your best-looking recent catches from in and around Douglas Shire, and include a short description of the fish, the battle to catch it and where it was caught (don’t worry, you don’t have to give away your best fishing spots, a general description is enough).

The winner will receive three Balista lures and three runners-up will receive two each. 

Entries for the competition close on Monday, so get out on the water over the weekend, hook some beauties and send in your photos!
