Federal Member for Leichhardt Warren Entsch has said he will today supply police with new information regarding the allegations of domestic violence against Cook MP Billy Gordon. 

Mr Entsch told media he had been contacted by a second person who had supporting evidence for the claims made by Mr Gordon's former partner. 

Mr Gordon - who remains as the Member for Cook after being expelled from the Labor Party by premier Annastacia Palaszczuk - has denied the allegations of domestic violence from his former partner, and said that he welcomes a police investigation and will cooperate fully. 

Mr Entsch said that police would receive the information about the second person today, having spoken to officers over the weekend about the matter.

Mr Gordon has said he will not make any comments to media since his last statement, in which he vowed to remain Member for Cook and vote alongside the Labor Party. 

Opposition Leader Lawrence Springborg has pointed to polls showing that 60 per cent of Queenslanders want Mr Gordon to resign, and has also called for changes to the parliamentary system that would stop Mr Gordon's vote being accepted.
