The Easter Bunny hip-hopped his way into Port Village Shopping Centre over the weekend to the delight of kids, tourists and locals alike. 

The ‘funky bunny’ wowed crowds with his dance moves while young performers from Bodies in Motion dance studio also showed off their skills for the assembled crowd. 

The Easter event was organised by Port Village management to capitalise on an influx of Easter tourists. 

Centre manager Helen Seale said the idea was to appeal to locals and tourists alike. 

“We wanted to organise a bit of fun for people visiting the centre over the Easter weekend,” Ms Seale said. 

“It’s the only thing on in Port Douglas for the actual Easter period and it attracts a big crowd. 

“It was fantastic, I think it went really well and had excellent performances by everyone from Bodies in Motion.”
