Mossman youth charged after 'threatening woman with speargun': police

A 14-year-old Mossman boy has been charged after allegedly threatening a woman with a speargun in Foxton Park in Mossman yesterday afternoon.

Police will allege that the boy threatened a 52-year-old woman with the spear gun during a disturbance at the Park at around 5.30pm.

The weapon was not discharged and the woman was not injured as a result of the incident.  

The boy has been charged with one count of assault and will be dealt with under the provisions of The Youth Justice Act 1992.
