A new international campaign will take full advantage of Queensland being in the global spotlight at the G20 Leaders Leaders Summit in November.

Premier Campbell Newman said the 'Queensland, Australia. Endless Opportunities' would be used to promote Queensland as a major global investment destination and exporter of choice.

“Queensland’s unique advantages and capabilities across the business, trade and investment spectrum are perfectly summed up with the phrase Endless Opportunities,” Mr Newman said.

“Now is the time for the world to hear even more about the Endless Opportunities that exist for them in Queensland.”

Treasurer Tim Nicholls said the campaign followed last year’s Trade and Investment Queensland review which recommended development of a unified Queensland brand for use in key overseas markets.

“We’re committed to maximising Queensland’s export and investment potential, concentrating on getting government ‘out of the way’, so business can get on with running their enterprises and creating jobs,” Mr Nicholls said.

“Queensland’s strengths are abundant in agriculture, resources, construction and tourism, and we offer unrivalled expertise, innovative products and solutions as well as strategic advantage through our location and climate.

“Our extensive trade and investment advantages include an enviable position as the nation’s gateway to the world’s fastest growing markets in the Asia Pacific, world class transport infrastructure, natural wonders and globally recognised international education opportunities.

“For lifestyle, for prosperity, for Endless Opportunities, we want the world to make Queensland its first choice.”
