Port Douglas Police are appealing to the public for assistance after a green Ford Falcon was reported stolen from the Reef Marina Car Park sometime on Tuesday.

The vehicle, a green 2001 Ford Falcon sedan with the registration number 367 TGE, was taken sometime between 7:50am and 7:15pm. 

Sergeant Damain Meadows of Port Douglas Police said since there was no CCTV cameras covering the parking lot, leads were scarce at present time. 

However the car only had enough fuel in the tank for about 20 kilometres of travel so police are now checking records and CCTV feeds at nearby service stations in their search for the vehicle.
