Mossman police are urging the public to be on the lookout for a grey new-model dual-cab ute after it was involved in a high-speed chase on Friday.
The ute, a charcoal-grey 2013-model dual-cab Holden Colorado with registration number 211-TFY, is believed to have been stolen from the Gold Coast and is linked to a spree of crimes across the Far North.
Mossman police responded to reports that the vehicle was driving dangerously on Friday morning and intercepted it near Mossman-Daintree Road.
The ute, which was occupied by three male Caucasians in their early 20s, fled along rural roads and was pursued by a single police car.
However when the fugitives reached the Captain Cook Highway police terminated the chase due to public safety concerns.
The ute and its occupants are still at large, with the last sighting in the Wonga-Daintree area.
Police urge anyone that sees the ute to contact Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000 or Policelink on 131 444, but not to attempt to intercept or approach the ute or its occupants.
The ute was previously evaded police in Mareeba on October 30 and was also involved in a collision with a Mareeba farmer’s vehicle after he confronted the fugitives on his property earlier that day.
The ute was also linked to a stealing offence in Mossman on November 1.
