Douglas has always been famous for its beauty but it will be getting a bit more of a run on both local and overseas television screens soon.

Bright winter weather, combined with local tourism events, has drawn both Australian and international television crews to the town.

Local viewers can tune into on 7-Two at 5:30pm this Saturday during a segment on Queensland Weekender to see Douglas tour operator Sailaway showcasing their new Low Isles afternoon tour.

Queensland Weekender will also be airing an episode featuring Carnivale on September 20, while UK television series Wanted Down Under will air footage shot in Douglas in January next year after filming this week at the Sugar Wharf.

Be sure to tune in!
