Take Me Home - The Music & Life of John Denver comes to Cairns Civic Theatre on 23rd July.  This amazing concert takes you on a musical journey of one of the world's most captivating and celebrated men. Through exclusive film footage, his life is poignantly portrayed in this stage presentation. Starring Bevan Gardiner, support act to the 2013 Australian Charley Pride tour.

John's love for life, concerns for the environment, through to his premature death are all included within the presentation. The motivation for many of his hit songs are explained, including visiting Jacques Cousteau on Calypso, which was the inspiration for his worldwide mega-hit 'Calypso'.

Singer Bevan Gardiner, accompanied by international musicians perform all the John Denver songs with such accuracy and feeling that if you close your eyes you will be effortlessly transported to the era of John Denver.
