Raiders given 'wake up call' by Crusaders
Friday June 4 2014, 4:42pm
The Raiders received a huge wake up call going down to Southside Crusaders 41 to 5.
The remainder of the season requires a greater commitment to training with the focus on modifying our game plan. Hard man Keith Tesch's physicality was sorely missed as was the unavailiability of several other players.
At our home game this weekend, we will need some volunteers to run the bar and BBQ. Some of the regulars are unable to be there this Saturday so your help would be appreciated.
Please see Don before game day.
Congratulations and Good Luck to our Junior Raider – Lachy Buzza – who was selected in the NQ side and headed off yesterday to the Gold Coast for the State Championships with other Cairns Storm and Townsville Brolga players who make up the NQ side.
Lachy is one of 30 junior FNQ players heading off to the Gold Coast to compete in the Queensland Junior State Championship.
Congratulations also to another Junior Raider – Aidan Chesterfield , who recently played in The Chairman’s XV at the QRU Schoolboys trials in Brisbane.
A big Raiders thank you to a couple of local businesses that have donated our singlets for the year. Port Irrigation, Just Jase hair, Adams Greenscene and Hori's Maintenance.
