Douglas Junior Netball resumed after the school holidays last Tuesday at Port Courts with the 10/Under Young Stars playing the Little Saints.

Both teams played fantastic netball with the Saints coming away with the win by a goal, with best players Sofia Cullen and Ava Shearer.

On court 2 the Young Comets played Pink Lightening in another close game with both teams showing great skills, the Lightening kept up the pace to take the win by 2 goals with best players Bo Lily Jenkins and Mercedes Ramsay.

The 12/Under game on court 1 was between the Pythons and the Young Gems, the Pythons were in great form controlling the game from the first siren to the last scoring 22 goals to 2 with best players Hannah Durie and Emma Vizard.  Court 2 played the Young Sapphires against Fast Motion.  The Fast Motion team rallied well in all areas over the court but could not stop the older and more experienced Sapphires who took the game 19-1 with best players Michaelyn Parkes and Ella Cairns.

The 5.30 time slot played the SuperHeroes against Young Guns 1, both teams put in a great effort for 4 quarters with the Young Guns taking the game 37-9 with best players Nanook Aston-Boyle and Samaria Denman.

The 12 Reps played Young Guns 2, Guns 2 have unfortunately lost 2 players this term but they stood up and played well against the talented little Reps.  Final score 18-10 to the Reps with best players Sophie Kirk, Faith Kempster and Myah Lowenstein-Jones.

The Senior competition division 2 played Port Power against Young Guns 1 in a close contest and Port, with only six players, still took the win 29-26 with the best & fairest Phillipa Fairbairn.

Crocs 2 played Spot On, Crocs 2 had the numbers and the skill to win 51-11 with the best & fairest named Anna Poloni.

The RingIns played Rattle n Hum 2 in a close contest, the RingIns settled to take the win 31-20.

The Bluebirds played the Gunnars, the Bluebirds got away to a good start on the score board and despite a great effort by the Gunnars they couldn't overtake the Birds, final score 40-32 with best and fairest named Casey Kemp.  

Division 1 played Cougars against Crocs 1, the Cougars were fierce contesters taking the game 34-22 with the best & fairest Michelle Teasdale.  Rattle n Hum 1 played the Jets in a greatly competitive game, some very good match ups made the game a pleasure to watch.  

Final score 35-22 to Rattle with best & fairest named Aimee Watson.
