The Douglas business community will receive tips from a world-class business coach on Tuesday at a Douglas Chamber of Commerce-organised event. 

South African business coach Sam Harrop has a long background in tourism entrepreneurialism, either starting or building up 11 different business of his own, including horse safaris, quadbike tours and teambuilding events. 

He is ranked in the top 5 per cent of business coaches in the world and is known as the ‘Guy That Gets Stuff Done’. 

The Douglas Chamber of Commerce will be presenting Mr Harrop at the Palmer Sea Reef Golf Club at 5:30pm on Tuesday.

The subject of his presentation will be efficiency and time management, aimed at businesspeople that are time-poor such as managers or business owners.

Chamber president Phoebe Kitto said Mr Harrop’s presentation would be greatly beneficial to the town’s business community, especially considering his background in tourism. 

“Without a doubt, it’s going to be helpful to the people that come and see it,” Ms Kitto said.

“He’s one of the top business coaches in Australia at the moment and he has real business cred - plus he’s a great speaker, he’s motivating, he’s extremely personable and he’s funny. 

“This is going to be a very helpful presentation to anyone that needs inspiration but particularly those that are needing some help in time management.”
