Sailaway launches new afternoon tour

Port Douglas-based company Sailaway is set to launch a new luxury Low Isles tour in April, with adults-only daily afternoon journeys aiming to fill a gap in the marketplace.

Guests aged 12 and over will enjoy a sailing and snorkelling trip to Low Isles, a Coral Cay Island off Port Douglas, from 1pm to 6.30pm daily aboard the company’s new Lagoon 500 catamaran, Sailaway V. The French-built vessel, complete with fully licensed bar, is a sister ship to the company’s already proven and successful Sailaway IV.

Sailaway vessels take a maximum of 33 guests, with Sailaway V operations to offer snorkelling, a guided snorkel tour, glass bottom boat tour, island exploring and walks during the traditionally quiet time on the island.

The afternoon tour will also include the popular ‘Sailaway Sunset Sail’, featuring drinks and canapés on the return journey.

Sailaway owners Steve and Katrina Edmondson describe the new tour as ideal for couples, honeymooners and friends, and available for private charters for wedding groups, special occasions or convention and incentive groups.

Forward bookings are now being taken for travel from April 1, 2014. For more details contact Sailaway at info@sailawayportdouglas.com or phone the Reef Adventure Centre on (07) 4099 4772.
