The Port Douglas Basketball Club played it its last Under 14s Junior Grand Final last week.

Happy Pools 39 defeated Ironbar 35 in a close tussle.

The game was of a very good standard - the deciding factor was probably the greater depth of the Happy Pools boys.

Lamar (21 points) and Josh (12 points) combined well in offence and were well supported defensively by Caleb, Dylan and Dean.

Promising junior Toby also made a valuable contribution.

Ironbar were best served by Luke (21 points) and Liam (18 rebounds).

In the semi finals for 3rd and 4th places, QT/Salsa 28 defeated IGA Girls 10.

A vere even performance by the QT Salsa boys saw them run our fairly easy winners.

Best for QT/Salsa were Lockie, Kael, Josh B and Josh E.

The IGA girls tried valiantly and were best served by Kalani, Tiarn, Ebony, Raine and Tayla.

2014 Season awards were as follows:

Boys MVP: Lamar Enoch

Girls MVP: Kalani Revell

Most Improved Boy: Toby Hull

Most Improved Girl: Raine Ward
