Fans of blues/ roots & country-folk won't want to miss this exceptional double bill - spotlighting two of Australia's finest singer/ songwriters. This is one show that is guaranteed to sell-out well in advance so music fans are encouraged to get in early to ensure they don’t miss out on this special night.

Touring nationally with new album Idyllwild, ARIA award winning MIA DYSON has gone from strength to strength with this latest release - scoring Double J's feature album, a premiere on US industry bible Billboard, multiple four star reviews and airplay for the acclaimed single When We're Older.

Add to that the cachet of SHANE NICHOLSON's long and celebrated solo career, which includes two albums with Kasey Chambers and countless award nominations (with ARIA Country Album of the Year & 6 CMAA Country Music Awards of Australia amongst them) - and Cairns, we got ourselves a majorly special night of live music.

This one's sure to sell out!

Since her 2003 debut “Cold Water” MIA DYSON impressed audiences around the country with her first three albums leading to national airplay via triple j and opening slots for the likes of Bonnie Raitt, Eric Clapton, Chris Isaak, Joe Cocker, Stevie Nicks and Donavon Frankenreiter.

When she moved to the US in 2010, it was something of a new start for the impressive musician. She started building a career in the world’s biggest market and re-crafting her sound, which led to the release of The Moment in 2012.

Its big single When The Moment Comes achieved ad placements on both sides of the Pacific, including landing spots on the US Premier League theme, as well as TV placement on network favourites including Elementary, Bones and Hart of Dixie.

SHANE NICHOLSON rose to prominence as the lead-singer / guitarist in rock band Pretty Violet Stain. The band released their debut album Parachutes & Gravity in 2000 and after parting ways with the band, Shane released his debut solo album It’s A Movie in 2003.

His next album Faith & Science followed in 2006 and the Familiar Ghosts album in 2008. He also released a joint effort with Kasey Chambers the same year titled Rattlin’ Bones, an album that garnered them strong acclaim in both the Australian country music industry and mainstream industry alike.

In 2011, Shane released Bad Machines which earned him an ARIA Country Album of Year nomination and six CMAA Country Music Awards of Australia nominations.

In 2012 Shane released another album with Kasey Chambers titled Wreck & Ruin which once again garnered them huge acclaim.
