Back to back - the mighty Port Douglas Crocs under 8's achieved a little bit of history on Sunday going back to back premiers, at the home of footy "the Croc Pit" in front of a packed home and very vocal crowd against the South Cairns Cutters.

The first quarter was intense with both sides ripping in and not giving an inch.

'Mr Fix-It' Jai was outstanding preventing many Cutters attacks as too were Jessiah and the much improved Nicko.

In the middle Lachlan had plenty of it and used the ball well, with young Sam stepping out to play his best game of the year with some excellent centre clearance work, just like his old man back in 66/67 season.

Up forward little Locky kicked a bag and the in and under skills of young Tyler thrilled the crowd. Over all a fantastic team effort.

Post game coach Matt Scott praised the work rate of his players and their commitment through out the season, made special mention to their parents and his band of assistant coaches and support staff for an outstanding contribution throughout the year.

Coaches awards went to Sam, Solomon, Lenny, Nicko, Campbell, Mark.
