Mossman Golf Club Results

Mossman Golf Club hosted Golden Jubilee celebrations on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, sponsored by Hatfield Electrical.

Over 150 people attended a spectacular dinner party on Saturday evening and many thanks go to all the hard working organisers for a great weekend of events. 

The Junior clinics are held Tuesday 5pm – 6pm for youngsters aged 6 – 17 years. Details from Geoff Goodwin 0418 456 901.

Tuesday’s Mens Port Douglas Court House Hotel event

Winner: Alec Ford with 41 points, ahead of Ian Johnson 40 and George Page 39.

NTPs:  Ian Johnson, Des Graham, Graeme Cook, Kym Copland & John Cameron.

 

Wednesday’s 9 hole Sporters

Winner: Bob Laybutt 23, with runner-up Kerri-Lynn Williams.

NTPs: Graham Scott

 

Thursday’s Ladies

Round 2 of the Thursday Championship Winner: Patti Graham nett 68, ahead of Bev Cowe 69.

NTPs: Tricia Landy, Bev Cowe on 8 & 13.

 

Friday’s  9 hole Golden Jubilee event

Winner: Cooper Smith (Junior) with 24 points, with runner-up Dave Ashton 22.

NTPs: Bev Cowe, James Doolah & Ian Steley.

An introduction to golf for Ladies is proving popular on Fridays at 4 – 5pm. Details from Julie Hooker 0413 394 111.

 

Saturday’s Golden Jubilee 4BBB Medley

Winner: Ken & Cathy Smithson with 46 points, on a count-back to Wade Duncan & Nick Scommozon (both Juniors), in 3rd place Ed Sant & Maurice Meth ahead of Mal Phillips & Jock Constantine.

NTPs: Art Howard, Brad Coulta, Antony Crosser, Sean Metcalf & Peter Chrisfield.
Ladies – Christie Bouwkamp, Bev Cowe, Cathy Smithson, Lyn Heimann & Raylene Bradley.

Men’s 2nd shot to hole 14 – Wayne Baxter.

Sunday’s Golden Jubilee Events

Winner: Nick Scommozo 39 points, ahead of Art Howard 38.

NTPs: Fred Joseph, Brad Coulta, Ken Smithson, Paul Bartley & Geoff Goodwin.

Ladies winners: Cathy Smithson 38 ahead of  Mikaela Goodwin 36.

NTPs: Bev Cowe, Vicky Hendrie and Julie Hooker.
