U8 Crocs eat Tigers alive

In ideal playing conditions, the mighty Under 8s Port Douglas Crocs played one of their best four-quarter efforts against North Cairns Tigers on Sunday.

After a pre-game rev up from game day captain Ethan ”Murphy” Scott, the boys bolted out of the blocks. Up forward Jessiah “Kernahan” St Pierre was on fire with two brilliant goals and was well supported by Jonte “Deacon” Revell who received plenty of praise from his coach on his team work.

Little Tyler “Bradley” Anderson was in and under everything. A massive roar erupted when little Taj “ Jesaulenko” Uwland kicked his first every goal in AFL.

In the middle, and possibly playing his best game of the year, big Taj “Nicholls” Anderson was excellent and was well supported by Mr Consistent Luke “Ashman” Pullan, Gus “Fitzpatrick” Gaske and,
back from injury, little Jack “The Dominator” Veltman had a cracker of a game.

Patrolling the back line and preventing many Tiger attacks were the much improved Jai “The Flying Door Mat” Stapleton and a couple of cool cats under pressure Hayden “Silvagni” Caswell and Jetson
“Hunter” Parry.

Coach’s awards went to Big Taj, Jai, Jessiah and little Taj.
