Tough week for U14 Crocs

By Adam Cartwright

Firstly, I would like to apologise for not doing a write up on last week’s game after such a strong and polished performance to have a good win over the Centrals on our home ground.

Unfortunately, this week's game proved to be a real battle and we were out run by a very fast and allusive opposition.

We certainly had our moments and played some good football, and when we got the ball into the forward line Ben Muir was there leading strongly, taking several good marks, then finishing with goals.

He was supported well up forward by Tully Cartwright who contested strongly and also finished with a couple of goals of his own.

Dropping a few crucial chest marks and inaccurate disposals kept us on our back foot, giving up too many easy turnovers.

Even in a hard fought game it is good to see some of the younger guys in the team getting improving each week, Joel Bowen and Tyson are getting more kicks every game and Joel's overhead mark was a beauty.

I'm sure after a slow one the boys will be eager to redeem themselves this week in an effort to win back third spot on the ladder.

Best Players:  Fin Careron, Tom Goodall, Tully Cartwright, Ben Muir and Fraser Allen.
