Public forum on Wet Tropics
The Wet Tropics Management Authority will be holding a Community Forum at the Port Douglas Community Hall from 10.30am to 2.30pm on 11 May 2013.
In the 25th anniversary year of the listing of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area, community members are invited to have their say at the Port Douglas forum.
Community members who would like to know more about this amazing landscape, or with an interest in raising their concerns and ideas about conservation and management of the World Heritage Area, are encouraged to come along.
"It is a great opportunity to have input into the future of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area," Division 10 councillor Julia Leu said.
"As a Director of WTMA I will be there and looking forward to listening to community viewpoints on the management of our Wet Tropics World Heritage Area."
Lunch and refreshments will be provided. RSVP to Lana Lopatich on 07 4052 0533 or lana.lopatich@wtma.qld.gov.au
